What would happen if more people used their experiences to create art? And what if they shared in that creation?
This Process Painting + Collaborative Workshop, taught by artist Meredith C. Bullock, explores this question with a collaborative atmosphere, tools and techniques that allow you to focus on the process of painting rather than the result.
You'll learn how to:
-use tools and materials to paint abstractly and for the process
-let go of fears and push against insecurities and limitations while painting
-express yourself in a more emotive, expressive and non-derivative way
-let go of possessing and perfecting your work in order to make a larger, co-created piece
Each student will leave the workshop with a better understanding of the basics of painting, how to create work that's based on experience and collaboration, and with the artwork they created as a beautiful reminder of their experience.
Students are asked to bring in a printed image of a person, place or thing that emotionally moves them. The image will be used for inspiration and not as a piece in the actual painting.
