I create for interior designers who want a large, colorful centerpiece for their client's space that ties together all of the elements found in the decor.
Here's how the commission process works:
Step 1: Imagine
What do you want the painting to look like? What colors, style and size do you see? What wall will the painting be displayed on? Need help? Send me an email with your ideas and I'll be happy to provide thoughts and recommendations.
Step 2: Quote
Once you have emailed me your ideas, I'll respond to your email with some thoughts, how much it will cost and when I can have it finished.
Step 3: DEPOSIT
You receive and approve the details for the painting(s) and provide a 50% non-refundable deposit.
STEP 4: MOCKUP
Now that we have all of the details figured out, I create a digital vision board that includes the color palette and mockup of the painting. The mockup is essentially a digital sketch of what the painting may look like with all of the colors and details we've discussed. You'll be able to take a look at the mockup and ask for adjustments to make sure everything looks and feels perfect.
Step 5: Begin PAINTING
The colors, dimensions, and details are confirmed so now it's time to begin painting! I typically require about 6-8 weeks to complete a painting but I'm always happy to try to finish sooner if you have a deadline you need to meet. Simply ask beforehand if your deadline is possible.
STEP 6: APPROVAL
When I get close to finishing the painting, I'll send you a photo to make sure you love it. Here you may ask for 2 minor revisions based on the initial commission details. Once approved final payment is due.
STEP 7: FINISH & SHIP
Once I've received the approval from you, I finish up the painting and apply a varnish to protect from aging and UV rays. I also install a wire on the back of the painting so it's ready to hang. The painting will be signed tastefully on the front by me and may include a certificate of authenticity per your request.
If you live in Tennessee, state tax will be added. Shipping will be billed seperatly upon receipt. If you're local, you're welcome to pick up the painting from my studio. All sales are final and there are no returns or refunds. Please see more on my policies here.
